I have not encountered such a device in Thailand.
Nor have I found any case or company that could do this.
Converting slides to photos is also unknown here, at least I can
    haven't found them yet.

    Sincerely,
    Lodewijk

Lodewijk, I can digitize your slides in a month. I'm going to the Netherlands soon and intend to take such a device with me for my own slides.
I'm happy to do it for a small fee.

I once bought such a device on eBay and it will be shipped to you. You can search all over the world on eBay and you are sure to find one for a reasonable price. Depends on the device whether you also need a separate VHS video player.

    Dear Josh,

If there are not too many video cassettes to send to the Netherlands, I will digitize them for you free of charge. You can let me know by sending an email to [email protected].

      Hi French,

Do I understand correctly that you live in the Netherlands and can convert videos to DVDs or video files.
I may also want to use it for a fee.

I'd love to hear from you.

      Gr. Miranda

A gesture for someone does not mean that I make a commercial business out of it.

Digitizing a 4-hour VHS tape (E240) also takes 4 hours. That means no more than 8 tires on an 2-hour working day. Then it hasn't been edited yet. Moreover, the computer cannot be used intensively for other purposes during that time.

Those who still have VHS tapes and want to digitize them will of course first need a video recorder. In addition, a video converter can be purchased on the Internet. A good converter is ION VIDEO2PC MKII. The device costs approximately €35,00 including shipping (within the Netherlands). The device includes Cyberlink PowerDirector software version 8 or 9 (depending on which date it is). The software also works with other sources. Even recording the TV on a computer is possible. The computer must be powerful enough to prevent shocking images.

Google “ION VIDEO2PC MKII” and you will be presented with plenty of internet suppliers.

    Dear Josh,

Do you own a VHS video recorder or do you only have the tapes?
You can consider taking the player to a company so that they can connect it to their equipment.

Why are you having them converted to a DVD?

Wouldn't it be better to just have it converted to a video file?
Or was that all your intention?

    Greetings from Josh

      Dear Josh,

I no longer have a VCR. Plus a recorder that you can connect to the latest TV is not easy either. BVD.

I have everything here at home to do this. I can digitize your tapes 1 on 1 and put them on DVD. I will do it for a fee agreed between us. I live near Hua Hin. My email: sjaaks at sign hot …….mail (compile it yourself).
    Regards,
    Sjaak
