Dear readers,

I am stuck in the application for a CoE for Thailand. My vaccination certificate is not accepted as proof by the website. I would like to hear from others what experience they have with this and which document is accepted by the website https://coethailand.mfa.go.th/

Yours faithfully,

Maarten

    Dear Martin,

What did you submit as proof of vaccination? A printout from mijn.rivm.nl or coronacheck.nl should not cause any problems. A scan of the yellow booklet or the A4 sheet that you receive from the GGD upon receipt of the vaccination does not count as valid proof.

I assume your departure date is at least 2 weeks after your last vaccination? Otherwise that could also cause a problem.

don't quite understand what you mean. The COE application does not ask for a vaccination certificate, does it? This is only a requirement for the phuket sandbox and the samui sandbox.
I have already done the entire paperwork to Thailand several times, so COE. You will receive your COE at a given moment, no proof of vaccination is required, and you can go on your way if you can show a covid test (PCR) upon arrival at the airport. That is it. My experience several times already. Just arrived in quarantine hotel in Bangkok

        Dear John,

I don't know which website you use, but proof of vaccination must be uploaded. I had uploaded the note from the GGD + the yellow booklet and it was good.

But don't open my mouth about the procedure, especially that Covid 19 insurance.

Not a single tourist comes to Thailand, only people who have to be there.
I had number 213900 which means that only over 200.000 people came to Thailand.

It might help if you first tell us which document you are trying to use. I myself had no problem with a copy of the yellow book.

On the Thai embassy website, the yellow booje is even explicitly mentioned as a vaccination certificate.

Do you actually get a response from the embassy that they don't accept it or does the website itself not accept it? I always had the latter when filling in and then it turned out that after uploading you still have to click on a bar with an arrow to actually upload it.

That is indeed an easy mistake to make. For a few questions you have to add supporting documents, you can drag these files to that field and then you will see an example (preview) of the file. But that is NOT enough, you also have to upload the files. That does not happen automatically. At the bottom right of the preview you see three buttons: a bar with an arrow up (upload), trash can (delete), and magnifying glass (enlarge the preview). You have to manually click the upload button to actually upload files.

If you forget that little button, when submitting the form you will receive the message “please include your vaccination certificate” error message and you will not get any further…

after downloading, you think you've done it, but indeed you still have to click on an arrow. Then you will also see your passport, etc. in the window. This, don't click on the arrow, turns out to be a very common mistake. On many websites you see this question many times.
