Dear readers,

I am 66 years old. Live in Thailand for 6 years and married to a Thai woman for 4 years.

I would like to take out health insurance for myself and life insurance in Thailand. So that my wife will receive a certain amount in the event of my death.

Is that possible in Thailand and who can help me.

French

Frans, take a look at the list of advertisers here…..

Insurance in Thailand is possible, but conditions may depend on age and medical history.

Dear Frans, you can take out life insurance at any banking institution in TH, where the amount of the premium to be paid depends of course on age. In addition to life insurance, other ways are conceivable not to burden your partner financially after your death. Read about this in a posting on this blog from 14 days ago: https://www.thailandblog.nl/lezersvraag/aow-thailand-overlijden-partner/

As for health insurance: click on the attached link and you will have almost all postings on this blog regarding the subject. https://www.thailandblog.nl/?s=ziektekostenverzekering&x=0&y=0

Keep in mind that at your age it is virtually impossible to get insured with a Thai private, read: commercial institution, such as BUPA. But maybe that http://www.verzekereninthailand.nl/ helps you a long way. Good luck!

Just checked in the Netherlands whether I could take out a term life insurance policy if the from the Netherlands are deregistered. This because it was referred to in the previous topic, namely, payment was made anywhere in the world.
    Answer from the Netherlands:

    Hello sir,
As a foreign resident, it is not possible to take out term life insurance in the Netherlands.
    best regards,

Financial Advice Center of the Netherlands (FACN)

Unfortunately peanut butter but for me (and many with me) so not possible to arrange this in the Netherlands.

You can insure yourself at any major government hospital. Costs about 3000 baht per year. You will then receive a card "insurance for foreigners", which is the same card as the 30 baht card for Thais

      Dear Jacob,

the question was: Can I take out life insurance in Thailand? Two weeks ago there was a link to an address in the Netherlands. There I asked the question about term life insurance and/or life insurance. This because I was curious if that was possible. Answer was clear: No. I also asked the same question at AA Insurance and the answer there was also No. Certain products may not be sold together from the same company in Thailand. Approaching Thai Life directly would be an option, as would information about KruangThai bank.

Your health insurance information is known. Have my own health insurance with April Asia Expats through AA Insurance Hua Hin so let this option pass me by.

Please take a moment to contact me and I will explain to you in detail that it IS possible. Look, I also asked the question here in Hua Hin at the bank, I was presented with all kinds of policies, but they could not answer my question. However, my question was answered by the office in Bangkok, and guess what, on April 3, I will even receive a visit from Bangkok to explain things from a lady who speaks Thai and perfect English, which is useful for my wife and me.
        Yours faithfully,
        YUUNDAI, aka Hans Vliege

Australian friend tried to arrange this in Udonthani but was told that this will only be possible again when there is a new government.

ps if still under 65 years old, a combination of health insurance and life insurance is possible with April. Further information at AA Insurance Hua Hin.

I have taken out a life insurance policy with Krungthai bank. That is possible up to 70 years. I pay 5.000 Baht per month and if I die tomorrow, my girlfriend will immediately receive 650.000 Baht.
If I would like to pay about 8000 Baht, the benefit would be 1.000.000 or higher.
If I did not have this insurance and if I gave my girlfriend 5.000 Baht a month, which corresponds to 60.000 Baht per year, and I die next year, she would have saved only 60.000 Baht! So what is wise?

    Dear French,

I give you some good advice about your questions.
If you want to have health insurance for yourself and your Thai partner, it is best to contact Matthieu and Andre from HuaHininsurance broker.
They have a few options for you there: ACS OF APRIL these two insurance policies are also affordable.
And if you now want to conclude a life relationship on yourself, so that your partner stays well behind,
Then you can contact my wife because she sells life insurances from the best-selling company in Thailand.
I also took out his insurance myself, and it is also affordable….

    Greetings from John from Pattaya….

At KasikornBank you can take out life insurance (Pro Saving 615). You put in the money for 6 years amounting to (at 61) 333.500 baht (total 333.500 x 6 = 2.001.000) after 15 years you get your deposit back. But you are insured if you die, your wife will receive 1.000.000 baht, the amount will increase, for example at the age of 6, your wife will receive 2.000.000 baht. In addition, you will be paid 25.000 baht every year (for 15 years). Inquire at kasikornbank then you know much more.

    Greetings,
