Home » Reader question » Reader question: By taxi from Hua Hin to Ayutthaya, what is a common price?
Dear readers,
We are preparing for a wonderful stay in Thailand. Now we would like to arrange a taxi from Hua Hin to Ayutthaya. Is 3500 baht a good price?
Thanks in advance!
Nik
It does depend on the quality of the taxi and driver, if they are good then that is a normal price, we pay about 18oo bath from Bangkok to Hua Hin, and 1200 bath from Bangkok to Ayutthaya, so do the math.
Too expensive, we only paid 4 bath with 1800 people. Taxi taken at the airport at that stall.
[email protected]
Email him and he will respond quickly. Great driver and not too expensive. Calm driver and recommended. There are already several readers whom he has served to their great satisfaction. And, importantly, always on time.
Thank you Ari and Maria. we have teamed up with Rush for several rides. We now have a deal for 3000 bath, he has reduced the price by 500, we are satisfied, we don't have to do everything we can.
You will notice that he is a really good driver and is always there for you. Have a nice trip.
I did it in reverse for 2700THB last year, but standard price is a bit higher, around 3000THB.
Been going for many years make an appointment with taxi Pepsi is always ready on arrival 2000 baht there and 1800 baht back SUV car 100 percent driver
The shortest route is 271 km.
A taxi meter then charges a maximum starting rate of 35B for the first three kilometers + a maximum of 5 – 8.50 B per kilometer for the other kilometers.
Total so a maximum of 2313B + a little toll, say 200B + 1.25B per minute that the speed is lower than 6 km/h, so a total of about 2500B. So you can save €25.-.
That's the theory. Just find a taxi that wants to drive that ride on the meter.
3500B for 271 km = €0.32 per kilometer.
In the Netherlands, such a ride costs €2.80 + 271 x €2.20 + 3 hours at €20.-, which is approximately €659.05.
If you are going for a wonderful stay I would just do it!
4 years ago I paid Lumluka for a Toyota van with driver 900 Bt for the transport of 9 people. for a whole day
Dear Nick,
So 3000 is your target price..
Start negotiating at 2500. Or lower remember that, for the Thai negotiating is a game in itself, so laugh a lot and have fun then you will go a long way. He/She now has a guarantee of a good daily turnover, so he/she must be riding.
And make sure you don't go during rush hour. Otherwise they use that as an excuse to get the price up. And still give a tip because taxi drivers really need it there. I am a taxi driver myself.
Greetings,
Kwaipuak
We have already done this 2x with a taximeter costing 2500 baht each time.
We pay for a 2.200 bath for a good taxi
Back 1.800 baht
Grt
