Dear readers,

Does anyone know if there is a collaboration between Thai smile and Thai airways for labeling luggage? I come from Udon Thani and only have 2,5 hours in Suvarnabhumi. Do I have to pick up my luggage myself or does it go directly? I don't think 2,5 hours is feasible?

Thanks in advance for your reply.

Regards,

Gunther

Yes, there is cooperation with Thai airways and Thai Smile. Labeling luggage is no problem.

      Since when?
Previously you always had to collect your luggage at Thai smile and check in at Thai airways international.
The only one where you could label was Bangkok Air, but it no longer flies to Udon.

Last October our luggage and our bicycles were labeled Brussels – Hatyai and with the return flight in April 2018 all our luggage was labeled back to Brussels. The outward flight tickets from Thai airways and with the return flight a Thai smile ticket (the cheapest ticket) and a Thai airways ticket.

There is cooperation between Thai Smile and Thai Airways. 2.5 hours on suvurnabhumi is more than enough. After your domestic flight you will be back in the international departure hall very quickly. Greetings, Tony.

Günther if you buy 1 ticket at the first me for the entire journey you run the least risk with regard to your luggage.
This also applies to all international flights.

But make sure that your Thai Smile flight has a TG flight number.

Thai Smile flights are usually on time so 2,5 hours seems to be plenty of time. But I think you have to collect your own luggage after the domestic flight and then check in on another floor at Thai Airways. Of course you can ask at Udon to label your luggage, but I don't know if they do that…

Just take a flight earlier. Then you have plenty of time in Bangkok. Also in case your Udon flight is delayed
