Hallo,

Recently I have been reading with great interest information (on this blog) regarding the liability of foreigners in traffic. However, the information only concerned drivers of cars and motorcycles.

I never ride a motorcycle or a car. But…. I do cycle a lot (in Chiang Mai), also in the center. The bicycle is my property. I often walk there too.

I can also be involved in an accident as a cyclist or pedestrian. With or without fault. Who can tell me something about my liability. For example, is it possible to take out bicycle insurance?

Thanks in advance!

Ger,. I also cycle a lot in Thailand but never wondered if I should insure myself. I also did not have a bicycle insurance in the Netherlands. In my opinion, in the Netherlands you can never or almost never be guilty of an accident. I think this arrangement also applies to Thailand. I cycle in Thailand between 100 and 200 km per week.
Who will help me out of the dream???
