Dear readers,

I want to change my address in my yellow tambien Baan from Khon Kaen to Mahasarakham. Which papers do I need? And do I have to go to Khon Kaen first for deregistration?

Thanks in advance,

Regards,

Wayan

    You don't have to unsubscribe
You do need proof from the owner that you live at the new address
Id copy and rental contract if you rent
    Signed etc
Or owner is willing to come along
Also, of course, bring a visa, etc
Better to much than to less
And finally in every city it can be different
    Welcome to Thailand

Tabien Baan (both blue and yellow) is linked to a house, not a person. So deregister in KK and arrange new yellow tabien job in Mahasarakham. The Amphur there will tell you what you need

    Dear Wayan,

    The answer is; Yes.

I had also moved from Bangkok to San Sai (Chiang Mai) and at the town hall they told me that I first have to deregister in Bangkok. ?? but that is 650 km away, well there is no other way.
So fly to Don Muang, deregister in Lak-Si, you get a form that you have to hand in at your new municipality within 24 hours and fly back again.
Then registered in San Sai and immediately received a pink Thai ID card with photo and all for 100 Baht.
The appropriate San Sai official said I have to go straight to immigration for the 24 hour notice.
There, the registration went smoothly on the XNUMXst floor.

    Greetings

    Nico

      oh, yes, Wayen,

My wife also went to the San Sai town hall, because they also want to see (and sign) the owner of the house. So your new address is in your yellow book and on your rosé ID card.
In Thai, but that's handy if I have to have something delivered. The Thai immediately understands where it is.

Nico thanks for the clear answer
So there is still something to arrange, fortunately Khonkaen (unsubscribe) is 1 hour away, so I will have to do that on my own
I will also have to register again in Mahasarakham myself, my Landlord is staying in Germany.
But I have the necessary papers.
Immigration will not be necessary I think because I am already registered there at my current address.
      Greetings
      Wayan

First have it deregistered in your current municipality. Then go to the new municipality with the yellow tabian ban and apply for new ones. Did it 3 years ago from Lopburi to Chiangmai where they even immediately offered me a Thai ID card (foreigner)

You should definitely deregister… and go to your new municipality with the stamp in the “yellow booklet” to obtain a new “yellow booklet”….

Happened to me last year too.
So we applied for a new yellow book for the second time at the current address, for our new home across the road, less than 100 meters away.
Start all over again, nag about this and you have to copy this and copy that again, back to the immi in Lamphun.
And all that at the local Amphur in Pasang City and finally after two weeks the booklet.
Had to make a legalized translation of my birth certificate in Thai by a recognized translator, they even still had the old one in the archive.
Even my current passport had to be translated.
But maybe they thought I was born again at a different time and place.
Pffff civil service at its best, but Janneman never gives up.
