Dear readers,

A question about the rules for traveling by car from Pattaya to the Dutch embassy in Bangkok and back. My son has to go to the embassy for an MVV. Do you need a special document to enter Bangkok? If so, what does that cost?

And when you go back do you have to quarantine for 14 days? How does that work?

Regards,

Ad

Yesterday (May 31) I drove from Pattaya to Bangkok (Sathorn and Thonburi) and back without any problem.

      Hi Ad,

No, he can just travel to Bangkok to the Embassy. If he wants to spend the night, there is a very nice hotel near the Dutch embassy: The Duchess Hotel and Residences. I just spent 3 nights there. You have a nice living room and a bedroom. You have to make an appointment at the Embassy. Good luck.

    Name,

You don't need anything at all. There are no travel restrictions between Bangkok and Pattaya.
The government only asks not to travel unnecessarily. But on weekends there are still many from Bangkok in Pattaya. So it is also possible vice versa.

    Just do it.
