Dear readers,

Foreigners who want to buy an apartment or studio in Thailand (whether or not 50% by themselves, 50% by a partner, or 100% by themselves), are minimum purchase amounts legally provided there?

A guide once told us that as a foreigner you are not allowed to buy an apartment below a certain value. Is that right ? And if so, what is the minimum amount for the “foreigner”?

Regards,

Endorphin

That seems very strong to me now. How cheap should it be then? A friend of mine had a very small house built (50 square meters) and was able to do it without any problems… then you should perhaps think in the direction of a chicken coop….

You can buy a condo or apartment at any price. There is no minimum involved.

There must be a majority of the condo building in Thai's name.

You can still buy an apartment in free hold (in your own name), without 1 thai in between

That's possible. It is wise to first inquire how many percent is foreign owned or which company construction has been applied.
