Dear readers,

My wife has a cottage in Udonthani. There, groundwater is generally pumped up to a large vessel for showering, washing dishes and watering plants. Now my question is: can you have that water tested somewhere in Udonthani or the surrounding area for harmful components, especially because of showering and washing up.

Regards,

RWV

Sure. Which can. On the track from Big C to HomePro, there is a company that sells water purifiers. There you can have the water tested for a small fee.
We had it done there. Very friendly people.

I would ask an industrial processor for the export of fruit and vegetables: they should have it tested for heavy metals, pesticides, etc.
Or directly to clubs such as Bureau Veritias, Det Norske Veritas, SGS, TUV…

I also have that question for that region.
We live right on the Mekhong.
I don't trust the water and the groundwater, that's why I want to test this.
Just like the Rhine in the last century, this will also become more polluted due to industrialization in China and Laos in particular.

ALS is a professional lab that tests for many companies and has branches throughout Thailand. You can often pick up and drop off the sampling kit at the bus station.
Will be picked up in BKK and results within 3-4 days.
    Just google.

You MUST have the water tested and also have permission to use it.
There must be a reason to use the water.
If you don't and they find out, you will be fined and will have to stop.
My Thai wife has just been fined for not signing it.
One of those things that you run into later, like now. She thought everything was ok, but unfortunately just not enough again. Fine and with tired (80 years) to the municipality to sign, because land is in his name and only he can sign, no power of attorney to have daughter do that.
