Dear readers,

The temporary arrangement is effective from 27 July Long distance lovers entered into force. This regulation applies to Dutch nationals and EU citizens who want to bring their loved one to the Netherlands for a short stay from a country with an entry ban. Thailand so. This is allowed for a maximum of 90 days within a period of 180 days. This is an exception to the entry ban from Thailand to the Netherlands.

My Thai girlfriend and I meet the conditions to be eligible for this scheme. We are now collecting the requested evidence of our relationship to complete the application.

Are there people here on the blog who have brought their Thai girlfriend to the Netherlands through this arrangement and who would like to share their experience from applying to seeing his girlfriend in the Netherlands with me? Does my girlfriend have to be vaccinated or is a test certificate sufficient?

Are there things I should take into account? Etc. Etc.

I look forward to your reaction.

Regards,

Eric

    Hello

I read that rules have changed quite a bit. My girlfriend arrived in May on an MVV. At the time, no test or pre-vaccination was required. Perhaps this link will help you further

    https://www.rijksoverheid.nl/onderwerpen/coronavirus-covid-19/nederland-inreizen/testbewijs-voor-inreizen-nederland/wanneer-verplicht

PS suppose your partner stays in the Netherlands for almost 3 months, then she can get vaccinated here. Might be useful for future visits. Perhaps an MVV could be considered in the future, because all evidence required to demonstrate a long-term relationship is identical to that of an MVV application.

    Dear Eric,
Also keep in mind that your girlfriend has to meet all kinds of requirements and has to incur costs to be able to return to Thailand. This is no longer covered by repatriation.

    Hello Eric,
my partner landed in NL Schiphol on Feb 11, she had a visa for 3 months.
on 10 apr we both tested positive and as a result she was unable to provide a negative pcr test for her return journey. after contacting the IND, she received a 2-month visa extension, so she would now leave on June 10. I immediately applied for a BSN NMR after the 3 months and on that basis she received an invitation for vaccination. she was then vaccinated with moderna at my request because at that time only moderna was on the list of vaccines in thailand. on 10 jun she left for thailand and on 11 jun she was back at Schiphol after errors by the airline. called the IND again and now received an extension until August 11. Immediately made an appointment again vaccination and the 2nd shot has now been set.
I have now applied for the whole paperwork again and everything is done including a new ticket. luckily the ASQ hotel was accommodating and the date could be moved. both airlines were not at all. so it will cost me a new ticket. KLM & Swissair are fighting badly themselves with evidence.
If you succeed, apply for a BSN right away, that saves a lot of hassle.
good luck with all the paperwork. grt jp
