Dear readers,

I am looking for a good ophthalmologist, in Isaan. I myself live between Pakhat and Bueng kan. It can also be a clinic. Udon Thani was manageable, but Bangkok and Pattaya are too far for me, because I will have to visit the doctor or clinic many times for the treatment of my Macro Degeneration.

I hope to find people who have personally experienced this problem and who can give me some information about how the treatment works.

Thanks in advance.

Regards,

Peter

    I assume you mean macular degeneration? No experience with it. Well with the ophthalmologists of the Udon AEK hospital. Register, go to the department, and within the hour someone will be mirroring your eyes. I haven't had any surgeries so I can't say anything about that.

    A friend had laser hair removal at a hospital in Khon Kaen, which is another 120 km from your home. If you appreciate it, I'll be happy to ask him for information.

      Hi Erik,

      I am very interested in that hospital in Khon Kaen and how much the laser treatment costs.

      Thanks in advance

    I assume that you have so-called "wet" macular degeneration, for which I already have treatment experience in Lausanne (institut ophtalmologique Jules Gonin / professor Aube Ambresin), in UI Antwerp, (in UZ Leuven / prof. Juie Jacobs), in the CMU in Bordeaux (Dr. Korobelnik) and in the Bangkok hospital in Pattaya;
    Doctors Attaporn Suwanik in this last hospital is doing excellently!
    I don't know what it is like in Udonthani, but take the following factors into account:
    * an OCT (occular coherence tomography) scan must be taken before and preferably five days after the intravitreous injection, and such a device must be available;
    You can optionally inject one of the three following products: 1° Lucentis (as always in Lausanne) 2° Avastine (very widespread, but unfortunately with a small-small more risk of sterility deficiency, because it is made in private labs 3° Eylea that the latest is new and for which the formula “pay 2 in advance / get 3” can be obtained in Pattaya;
