Dear readers,

In the Netherlands you have DAB and DAB + with which you can listen to the radio without interference. Here's an explanation: Digital Audio Broadcasting (DAB, sometimes also referred to as Terrestrial Digital Audio Broadcasting or T-DAB) is a European system that has made digitized radio broadcasts possible since 1993, as an alternative to analogue radio signals.

Does such a thing exist in Thailand?

Regards,

Kidney

What you mean by DAB, what we know in NL, I don't think they have here, only via the internet, so with an app or Sonos, etc.
I don't think they know DAB car radios here as we have them.

    Dear Rene,
YES there is already DAB and DAB+ in Thailand. The project was started in April 2019 and will be expanded in the course of 2020. There are currently 13 DAB trial stations active in Bangkok and the surrounding area, offering 18 different channels. NBTC (National Broadcast and Telecom Commission) has already given permission for the nationwide expansion so that the pilot project, ongoing in Bangkok, can be extended to the rest of the country.
