Reader question: Where can we rent bicycles in Hua Hin?
Dear readers,
The times we stayed in Cha-Am or Hua Hin for a month, we have always rented a scooter for a month without any accidents.
However, we would rather rent a decent bicycle (ie with good lighting, possibly gears and brakes) in Hua Hin next December, but we still can't find a rental company for bicycles in Hua Hin.
Does anyone have a (private) address in Hua Hin of someone who can help us?
PS (We know that bicycle tours are organized in Cha-Am and will try to find out if this organization also wants to rent 2 bicycles to us for a month).
Thank you and kind regards,
Do
Have a look around here http://huahinbiketours.com/
Dear Will,
When you walk from the center to the beach, at the Tuk Tuk's location on your right hand side you will find a shop with clothes and it also rents out bicycles. When you arrange the bikes for a few days, you can agree on a fixed price. This one has good bikes and you can choose one yourself and test it.
Hi Will,
In addition to scooters, we also have men's and women's bicycles for rent. They are practically new bikes with lights, good brakes and gears. Furthermore, there is a month on it and you get a padlock. We are located between Cha-am and Hua Hin, near the Novotel. Our restaurant is called "Aroi Dee" where the bicycles and scooters are located. If you want, you can send me an email so that I can reserve them for you because it is high season and then they are rented out almost every day. You can email me at: [email protected]
Good morning
On the main road Petkhasem Road, near the pizza shop, there is a bicycle shop on a corner that also rents bicycles
From January we also rent out bicycles and organize tours
success
Greetings Christa
Good morning Christa, maybe a bit unclear{pizza shop a/d Phetkasem road}At what height, because there must be several pizza shops.
I have here: http://www.huahinmedia.com/huahin-bike-rental.php sometimes rented a bicycle. Bicycles with gears and good brakes. I don't remember the exact rental price, but I remember that it wasn't disappointing at the time. Moreover, it is close to the center. About 300 meters walking distance from Starbucks in the direction of the departure point of the minivans to Bangkok. I now always rent my motorbike here. The people are very friendly and helpful. Good luck with your bike tour. (Definitely worth it, but be careful with the traffic.
Thanks for the tips. As soon as we are in Hua Hin we will try to find the addresses mentioned and make a choice. What surprises us after visiting the websites mentioned is that at first glance it seems that renting a bicycle in Thailand is (considerably) more expensive than renting a scooter. But maybe that can be discussed on the spot. For 3 weeks of scooter rental in Hua Hin we paid TB 2700 last year, say TB 130/day. Renting for 1 day cost TB 300.
Renting a bike is relatively expensive, that's right. Also has to do with the fact that some go cycling on the beach with a mountain bike. Then such a thing is quickly broken with all that fine sand that gets everywhere.
