Dear readers,

I am looking for health insurance in Thailand, but I have had a brain tumor and therefore no insurer will insure me.

What can I do now?

Regards,

Eddy

Thailand does not have a health insurance system like the Netherlands. Please make that clear to everyone. You cannot transfer a certain current situation to other types of circumstances. In other words: don't think that Thailand also has health insurance funds that have an obligation to accept insurance. Not so. Thailand has its own limited healthcare system for its own Thai people, and farang have to use commercial foreign companies. Realizing this, it is sometimes impossible to realize certain desirable situations. In short: stay insured in the Netherlands! Because even if you find a health insurance fund in Thailand, from the moment something unexpectedly happens, that aspect will be excluded for subsequent years.

    Dear.

Please contact VAB in Belgium for information.
    Kind regards.

    Try Cigna, has no exclusions.

Almost too good to be true because their premium is reasonable. I do not know the policy conditions, but maybe there are more people who know this company and have experience with this insurer.

It is not meant to be mean, but my advice is to remain resident (registered) in the Netherlands and therefore be insured in the Netherlands through the compulsory insurance for everyone. In the Netherlands you may not be refused by an insurance company.

If you are in the Netherlands for at least 4 months a year, you could indeed be registered and have insurance.
However, if you have been living abroad continuously or for longer than 8 months, that is not possible and you must therefore look for another solution.

Eddy, it would of course also be easier if you told the searching readers about your situation such as:: Do you already live in Thailand or in another country, what is your age? Do you intend to live in Thailand for good >>?? etc.etc

As you put it, there's not much you can do, not everything in life has a solution.
If no one wants to insure you, you have no insurance, you cannot force the insurers.
There may be a foreign insurer who wants to insure you, but then undoubtedly with many exclusions and a high premium.

You could also decide not to take out insurance, because the Thai state hospitals are not that expensive, and in the worst case you could still fly back to the Netherlands and register there again.
If you do not take out insurance, I would in any case save a considerable amount of money as soon as possible (from the saved insurance premium, for example) to pay for a possible hospitalization.

Unstarted work…. stay insured in NL and
travel insurance with worldwide coverage. We regularly
Back to NL for a moment. In case you get sick you are insured
    I recommend OHRA.

The hospital in Sawang Daen Din that I spoke about is a state hospital and, as Ruud mentioned above, is quite reliable!
    This is just an addition.
