Dear readers,

I will be working in Bangkok for about 5 years at the end of this year and I am looking for a new apartment for sale. However, this is not easy because the prices are quite high for new condos. Of course I can also rent or buy an existing condo, but for personal reasons I want to buy a new condo.

Do you have any tips? Certain neighborhoods in Bangkok where prices are lower? I don't need to be near an MRT or BTS station.

Maybe other tips?

Regards,

Michiel

You can buy a luxury condo (studio or 100.000 apartment) for €1, especially if it is not necessarily located in the tourist areas and near the BTS.

Google it first, if you can't figure it out, I'd like to look up some emails with prices and neighborhoods in my mailbox and deliver them.

Have a look around Bang Kapie
    Very wide choice

the design, size, massiveness, etc. mainly determine the price. And the much more luxurious, therefore more expensive, are mainly located near the rail lines because of the exclusive interest of that target group.
Alongside the new MRT/BTS extensions now under construction, there are dozens for sale - in various phases from planning to construction.
So first think about WHAT you want exactly (how many rooms, how much security in the building, how luxurious, etc.) and then come back. Here and there I still see MIN prices of just 1 million euros (bahtjes) - but that is 1 room + bath with the lowest quality sanitary facilities.

Most condominium cubicles of, for example, 6 x 6 meters cost around 1 million baht (26.000 euros) in Thailand. Living room and bedroom with bath-toilet facilities where you can barely turn your buttocks. Low quality material of course. In Bangkok this may cost even more. How cheap. Jan average has to pay for that for a very long time, or I shouldn't whine so much. As long as we can make money from each other and with a different mentality, it can be much cheaper, that is my position in this matter.
