Reader question: Beltravelservice asks for credit card details and bank details, is that normal?
Dear readers,
We try to buy a VIP bus ticket from Suvarnabhumi to Hua-Hin and via beltravelservice they ask after all the details of our VISA to also click on a bank in Thailand otherwise the booking will not work!
Is this normal and don't you also pay an amount to that bank, so THB 610 for the bus and then another about THB 600 for the mediation of that bank, so THB 1210 together?
Regards,
Hans
Dear Hans, we have bought bus tickets from this organization well in advance in previous years. It is normal that you have to fill in the credit card details, (secure site) we did and never paid more than about THB 610. We can't book for the beginning of January yet and have emailed the company, that month would still be open they say. I think that's very late. Everything else is always well organized. good luck.
It's strange to have all your data and then still so high mediation costs. I put there ?? bee.
Hoi
Don't be difficult
Just buy a ticket at gate 8 at the counter on arrival for 305 baht
Always works fine for me
Hello Hans,
If you feel THAT it's too much just don't do it and just book with a travel agency.
Regards,
Aad
Hi

Any person in possession of your bank card number, your card expiration day (month/year), + your slanted code on the back of your card
Can you plunder your map against your will. The TV program on VTM (volt) gave the whole thing open and exposed in their broadcast last week.
Dear Hans,
They also asked me this time, also had a strange feeling about it.
Can't remember if they asked for all that information last year.
So understand your reaction
Regards,
Roger
I also ordered tickets for 2 people for December 29 4 months ago
Huahin. No data was requested. Only names and
flight number. I paid via ING and immediately received the tickets by e-mail, at no extra cost.
Hello Hans. We have bought tickets from Bangkok Airport to Hua Hin several times through belltravel. Has gone well so far. We will now take that bus again on November 19 and 610 bath or 15,71 Euro has been deducted from the card. Have fun in Hua Hin. Regards, Jeanine
I bought 10 tickets for December 2 at Bell Travel on August 15 and only entered my credit card details through a secure site. A Thai bank is never asked. I've been doing this for 3 years with no problems.
Dear Hans,
it is normal that certain information is requested when paying with a Visa card. As long as they don't ask for your PIN code, there's no problem. Now all Visa cards are equipped with a PIN code, which was not the case a long time ago; I have never had any problems with electronic payments. I find it strange that you have to click on a bank in Thailand.
Do as suggested here: just buy your ticket on the spot, no extra costs, nothing.
Regards,
lung addie
I booked a ticket last week and charged correctly on my visa as always with Bell Travell.
