Home » Reader question » Reader question: Where is the best place to change money at Bangkok Airport?
Dear readers,
Which exchange office in the arrivals hall at Bangkok airport is the best place to exchange euros, at a good rate.
Thanks in advance.
Adrian,
Not in the arrivals hall, but you have to be all the way down, on the floor where the rail connection with Bangkok departs. There you now have 3 exchange offices - personal experience from six weeks ago - which give considerably higher rates than are used elsewhere on the kechthaven. The three exchange offices located close to each other have the same favorable exchange rate. I myself go to Value-Plus, but Superrich is also there. I don't know the name of the third.
Dear Adrian,
Superrich now has an office at the airport (ground floor). In our experience you get the best exchange rate here.
Ahoi Adri, it is best NOT to change at the airport. You pay the main price there (everywhere). (At least that's my experience). I only change what I need for a while and I change the rest at the destination. Have a look around there too. The difference can be attractive ! Happy Holidays. Ad.
In any case, it is not wise to exchange money at the airport because there is an unfavorable exchange rate here. I would strongly recommend that you only exchange a small amount here to pay for your first costs, for example a taxi, and the rest simply at the destination at a ATM exchange , this yields considerably more Baths h
I assume you mean Suvarnabhumi International Airport, look at the following link under Airport.
http://www.superrich.co.th/location.php
Hello.
You look at different exchange offices, usually the rate is indicated and take the best one and you only have to exchange money for the first things, because in Bangkok itself you have a much better rate
Changing at the airport is not such a good idea.
Just exchange €50. Then you have 2000 Bht in your pocket and you can easily pay for your airport city line and MRT to your hotel and have something to eat in the evening.
Depending on your time of arrival, you will then exchange in a recognized bank.
Outside office hours you can also exchange at a favorable rate in the Terminal 21 on Sukhumvit Rd.
Never exchange money at the airport, or at least the minimum. Easily 3 – 4 THB per Euro less. You used to get a good rate at Kasikorn on the ground floor (train), but that has now been done.
It has been mentioned before in these sections: On Suvarnaphumi you go to the basement where the exit is to the Airport Link, the train to BKK center. Just before the ticket counters for the train, on the far left of the very wide entrance, there are several exchange offices, including Krongsri Bank (?) and a SuperRich exchange office. There is no one at the Bank, at SuperRich you sometimes have to wait a while because the rate there is up to 3 Baht higher per Euro than at the neighbor mentioned. Make your move!
A rate even better than at an exchange office on the Phaya Thai Road near Siam, but that can change per day or even hour.

At the airport at Superrich, you get the best rate.
Love 100 and 500 euro bills.
This topic has already been discussed at Thailand Blog.
Change as little as possible there, just as much as you need for a while ...... are bad rates and change in the center elsewhere at an exchange office, saves a lot.
Dear Adrian
You will not find a good rate anywhere at the airport.
If you need money you have to exchange the minimum there.
In the seaside resorts or tourist areas there are enough exchange offices to exchange at a much better rate.
Also do not exchange in the hotels. They also give a very bad exchange rate.
Good holiday.
Peter
Well very simple like not exchanging money at any airport, doing it in the city saves a lot of money.
Certainly not at the various banks there. For the absolute best rate, go to “Super rich.” Got a tip from my friend who works at the Kasikorn bank.
You will find it on the ground floor where the train would be. Google gave me this: The Superrich booth is located to the very left of the floor facing towards the Airport Train ticket office. Go to Thailand soon and will also have to look for it.
You will not get a good rate at an airport.
It is better to enter Bangkok and exchange at an exchange office. There
are many. You can easily earn 1000 baht on 1000 euros.
At super rich. Best rate in BKK.
The Superrich booth is located to the very left of the floor facing towards the Airport Train ticket office.
Found through google

Hello At the airport itself, all exchange offices are the same, there is not 1 that has a slightly different exchange rate
and they are about 10% more expensive than anywhere else.
so take advantage of this.
Greetings.
In the airport you always get a bad exchange rate; Swap a bit to get to your destination and then swap what you need there.
At Super Rich
The road towards it:

Do not exchange at the airport!! The exchange rate is much lower than for example in bangkok. Go to an ordinary exchange office.
Or pin, but then you're already screwed because of the costs.
My answer is “nowhere”, but I think my answer was too short for the moderator and that's why I didn't post it, but the answer is correct. People charge at least 0,75 baht too much everywhere at the airport. More expensive than at any bank. Outside the airport, at any exchange office, you get better rates.
dear adri, exchange at the airport is a bad move. can sometimes save 2 baht per euro compared to a bank in the city. a large part of the exchange offices are in the hands of the scb bank and kasikornbank. they differ little or almost nothing from each other. if you want to change a little bit. outside the airport you will soon notice that you get more baths for your euro. have fun.
If you go all the way down to the trains or subways, you will see at the bottom of the hole about 3 exchange offices that all offer the same good rate.
Very simple answer, you can't do that cheaply -as far as I know-at the airport. For that you have to go to the exchange offices in the cities.
Hi ,
at no exchange office at the airport, they are all rip-offs.
Gr.
Adrian,
If you want to receive a good exchange rate for your euro, you should not exchange at the airport. They give a really low price there. I also noticed that almost all exchange offices at the airport had the same bad exchange rate. ( Mutual agreements?)
In Bangkok itself you get the best exchange rate at the exchange office of "Superrich Thailand". Currently 39,80 baht for one euro. There are also other exchange offices such as 1 with almost the same name Superrich 1965 recognizable by an orange red color.
Superrich Thailand is right behind the Big C which is at Central World. Superrich has a green/blue logo.
In Pattaya, TT is the best exchange office. You see them everywhere with big yellow signs and a black TT on it.
Succes
At superrich in lower floor where the trains depart.
You have a green and an orange superrich next to each other, so choose which one gives the most that day. Do not exchange euros in the arrivals hall, which will give a lower price.
And if your Phone has apps then download super rich from playstore. you can immediately see the exchange rates
And with the Thai Bath exchange app, you can see the rates of any bank in Thailand, starting with the highest rate that day and hour.
Superrich is not a bank, remember, but they always give the highest rates.
Kind regards, JM Belgium
They are all way too expensive. In Pattaya and Jomtien they give much more for the Euro. Small exchange offices.
At the airport, all banks have the same exchange rate. Only change what you need for the onward journey, then change where you are going. Checking which bank gives the most can differ a lot per bank.
down at the skytrain counter in the left corner, several banks open late 10'00,
Good afternoon,
I change my money at Superrich at the airport ( take a look at the link below )
The best rate available.
http://www.iamwannee.com/exchanging-money-at-suvarnabhumi-better-rate/
success
Nowhere in the world can you exchange at a good rate in an airport. So not in Bangkok either. So do not change money, and if there is no other option, only a very small amount in the airport. You get the best rates in the exchange offices that you find everywhere. The rate is higher there than in the banks. Do not change in the first exchange office you encounter, but compare the rate at a few offices. Then you quickly know where you can exchange the most advantageous.
At bangkok airport it is best NOT to exchange!
Nowhere!
It is better to exchange in Bangkok or, for example, Pattaya.
Saves you about 1 to 2 baht per euro!
Hi
Super Rich has the best exchange rate
Gr Leon
Exchange an amount at the airport that you need urgently. You can get a better rate at local banks and bureaux de change.
Superriche is located on the first floor next to the entrance of the airport link, they give a good course.
very simple: nowhere! All way too expensive!
Do not exchange at the airport, the worst exchange rates are available there.
In every bank in Thailand you get better rates than at the airport!
Usually getting the best rates, with great coupons, at Rich Bank..

I think there are some people here who can't read. The question is where in the AIRPORT and not elsewhere 🙂
So indeed http://www.superrich.co.th/location.php : )
500 100-39.80 XNUMX
50 39.75
20-5 39.70 today's rates 11/04/2016. You have super rich green and orange. Very little difference.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JnDz7TYEzpw location at the airport.
Take your pick, I'm not going to my Thai bank. Exchange there and then put it on the account if you have one account there.
You cannot exchange money anywhere on Suvarnabhumi. The banks practice price maintenance and all use the same, very poor, rate. Only withdraw a limited amount from an ATM for what you absolutely need immediately. Outside the airport you can find much better rates such as at Superrich. You will get the best rates there in the morning. During the day the rates often become lower due to the risk for the exchange office to sell this currency again. A little attention can save considerable amounts. Never respond to questions at the ATM. the offer for direct conversion. On 20.000 baht you are easily between 10 and 20 Euro worse off.
Lots of comments from uninformed readers above. Not aware and still calling something.......
You can actually get a good course – similar to the one in the city – on Suvarnabhumi, but you have to descend to the floor where you find the entrance to the rail connection. You will find Value-Plus and Superrich there where you get 2,5 – 3 baht more per euro than elsewhere at the airport.
