Through a Dutchman I came into contact with a Thai woman, his wife's girlfriend. She worked in a bar on Soi 7. In short, the first dilemma, because my goal was not to buy a woman. So just some introductions in the bar first. Sometimes she had a day off and went to her friend wherever I went.

It surprised me though, one evening when I visited her in the bar, her parents were there too, thought that was strange, but she introduced me frankly. She later said she had stopped in the bar and asked if she could stay with me, she could but on my condition no monthly fee. She did have a 17-year-old daughter for whom I paid for college, I thought that was my moral obligation.

Visiting her colleagues in soi 7 together, I talked to two ladies who spoke good English but did not work there. My friend named Pooky got so angry she smashed a Coke bottle and came running over saying "I kill you!". Surprised I was. The bartenders overpowered her so that there was no longer any danger. I told her I didn't want this and took her to her daughter who lived independently in an apartment. The next day she showed up at my door again with a big sorry. I also knew now that she was jealous and afraid of losing me. I think she had drunk too much Lipo, some people become hyperactive, she often suffered from that.

At one point she asked for money for her stepfather. His own sons lived with him and he drank quite a bit of bauchus (whisky). I'm not going to pay for his whiskey. She still insisted. She had another sister who also did not pay and was married to an Englishman. Now I said, we go to your sister and if your sister also wants to pay, each half, I agree. Her sister said the same as me, not wanting to pay for the booze and his sons should go to work. So don't pay.

It became quiet again in the Weltevree cottage. I thought I had conquered it again, but I had thought it too soon, the misery was just beginning. After two weeks she started again and not so sparingly, screaming quite a bit. But I don't let myself be intimidated and just let her rant. At one point she sat down in the middle of the street screaming and demanding, so that it became too much for me. Picked her up and put her in the car and took her to her daughter. The next day she wanted to come again, but I said: I will come to you first. Gathered up all her belongings and took them. Gave it to her and told me I didn't want any more contact because this was not a relationship that I would find peace in. She was pretty enough for someone else who might be willing to pay. That's how I thought I got off well (I thought).

Haven't heard from her in a week, I thought that's going well. Went for dinner at Kiss food on the Second road, had just finished my meal when two Thai ladies sat down at a table next to me. As curious as they are, they asked me all kinds of things, I could eat with them, but had already eaten, but one gave me some meat and the other some fish. I told them that I had an appointment for a massage in Jomtien at 20.00 pm and wanted to have a coffee at the shop, at Kiss food.

At one time a question came up, who I liked the best of the ladies. Oh I thought, that's dangerous but still gave a reasoned answer. I said, and they already knew that, that I had children in the Netherlands and also that I had stopped a relationship in Thailand. My motivation was, one lady was too narrow in my opinion, from my point of view it could be my daughter and I didn't want that. The other was just a little more feminine and I said that too, that she was more my type. So that was out and was already shivering, thought I would get something thrown at my head, that didn't happen. Instead, they wanted to come with me to the massage. Okay, I said, but first a coffee.

We went to the massage together. They also took a massage and I paid. Nice ladies. The one I had something with me, spoke fairly good English and was an accountant on the Thepasit road. Those were interfaces for me, so we were not short of conversation material. I had become curious. I took them back to their apartment and also made an appointment to have lunch with the ladies the next day.

To be continued….
