We have been home for a week now after a wonderful two-month stay in Thailand. This time for the first time for 2 months in the same place in an apartment to try out how we like it because we want to stay longer in Thailand later. 

We have been in an apartment in Ban Amphur. This is about 16 km from Pattaya. Wonderfully quiet and yet close to the city.

We found this place last year when we toured around on the motorbike in search of a nice place. We went in here and there for a ticket so that we could google what it was afterwards. Well, this was it: sunrise beach. But you wouldn't be called Tjitske if you didn't look a little further and that's how I ended up at Lela.

Lela lives in Ban Amphur and also rents out apartments. I contacted her via email because who knows, maybe she has a nicer and better place for us. We agreed to meet on Wednesday morning at Katie's Coffee garden in Ban Amphur. Every Wednesday morning, Lela organizes a gathering here with people from Ban Amphur, Jomtien, Pattaya. Basically anyone who wants to come. People of all stripes. Mainly Dutch people but also people from other countries.

Here it is an exchange of information, tips, but also the opportunity to ask questions about, for example, hospital, doctor, dentist, embassy, ​​etc. etc. I would therefore like to recommend this Wednesday morning.
