It's nice to look at old images of Siam or Bangkok every now and then. We received this video from Tino.

The video shows black and white images of Bangkok in the distant past and lasts just over 4 minutes.

Special images and sometimes time seems to have stood still.

Enjoy how it once was….

Beautiful nostalgic images, the skyline of Bangkok looks very different now!
Too bad there is no time machine, I would like to take a look.

Very nice, to see something of old Bangkok! Perhaps there are more such videos out there.

    Editors' compliments:
This is a beautiful reflection of the past and now. For the enthusiasts, I immediately ended up on a film from 1942 of Krueng-Tebb [Bangkok] during rain showers [fon-tok] and the floods [naam-tuam], which I remembered 2 years ago in Mahasarakham "experienced". You sometimes ask yourself: has so much really changed in those 80 years?
GR;Willem Scheveningen…(more of this nostalgia please, thanks).

There may not have been Sukhumvit Rd yet but it was very nice to see

Very nice, we see the Paknam Railway at the station that was once on the opposite side of the current Hua Lampong station. Originally a steam tram line, later electric tram trains of Japanese manufacture drove here, in red / yellow livery. The Thanon Thang Rot Fai Sai Kao still reminds of this old rail connection. The street is laid out on the old railway beddig. The street is a branch of Rama IV Road, not far from Klong Toey market.

As you get older you start to long for the past. Apart from all the hustle and bustle and technical developments, fortunately enough that has not changed.
