Dear Martin,
I have prostate cancer with bone metastases and have had 22 chemos. Stopped now, would like to go to our home in Thailand and I don't have much time left.
I use the drugs Abstral 100 MI FENTANYL for sublingual and FENTANYL SANDOZ MATRIX PATCHES 37 UG. Now my question is, is there an alternative to these medicines in Thailand because I can go on holiday for 90 days and then I have to take a lot with me and I think it will cause problems at customs.
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
R.

Dear R,
Fentanyl (Durogesic) patches are available in Thailand through the doctor. Also the tablets ear under the tongue. You must have a prescription. Therefore, bring a prescription in English plus a medical report stating why you are taking these medicines.
Here the Thai law. https:/thaiembassy.se/en/tourism/restricted-medicine/ You must therefore obtain permission from the embassy to import for 1 month. Fentanyl falls under category 2
After that it has to go through a Thai doctor.
I hope it works.
Yours faithfully,
Dr. Maarten
