Catching fish in Thailand
Trees gave me this video. I'm not an angler, but enthusiasts will have their mouths watering. Perhaps Trees can provide some more information about location and type of fish?
I regularly go fishing for an afternoon, in Yom Tien there are only Catfish in the fish ponds.
Close to where I live there are 2 fish ponds with a different kind of fish, fish are fished with bread as bait, next to me was a German who was a regular customer and told me that specimens of around 60 kilos were swimming around.
What I caught was all around 10 kilos.
A nice afternoon for little money, your own fishing pier with a sala and chairs, you get help if you want it with fishing from a Thai employee.
You can eat and drink there, and in the evening there is even a band playing.
Fishing rods and bait, of course, all available on site.
Tip from a Thai friend, was serious advice and not a joke: never go fishing if your wife/girlfriend is pregnant, chances are that the baby will have a cleft lip at birth.
Hey Robert Sinterklaas still exists, doesn't it?
this is 90% of the cha-am fichsing park at kilometer marker 194 between cha-am and phetburry i caught one of 35 kilos in january fishing with a jigging rod costs 100 baht with rod rental 350 baht bottle of water 10 baht lemonade 20 baht portion of padtay 40 baht greetings and have fun fishing in Thailand
Fish ponds are full of fatter and every village\town can be found in abundance.
Unfortunately, the fish is not unhooked on a plastic sheet and will be damaged.
Sea fish the same with everything and even small stingrays immediately chop off the tail, totally useless and deadly, but yes this is Thailand
That unhooking was done by the Thai fish assistant was not exactly gentle.
Also go sea fishing regularly, always have the same boat with the same skipper, is a converted fishing boat, is neat and the man does his best to give you a nice day.
Boat is suitable for a man or 20, down on the fishing deck tables with benches, above all sun loungers, the same as on the beach.
Fishing rods and bait on board and included in the price, bait is squid, there is no better.
He takes his wife or daughter with him, they make a simple meal, fried rice and chicken, vegetables and fruit, and the caught fish is processed immediately.
the food is also included in the price.
You have to take care of the drink yourself, or just make a list of what you want and the skipper takes care of it, he just gets it from the supermarket and you get the receipt, no profit is made.
He also provides ice cubes to keep things cold.
When I go, we sail at about eight o'clock in the morning, and be back before dark.
Do you want to barbeque on one of the uninhabited islands, the best man carries everything to the beach and lights that thing.
If you are going to do this once, just look at the weather, you will go with Thais without sea legs, they will get seasick and you will have nothing to wear.
Fish are caught in abundance, so it is also fun to do for the not real angler.
Henk, which boat is that, the 5 sometimes, from that skipper Viharn with the help of his daughter, we pay 6.500 baht, including food, bait, etc., from 8 a.m. to 18 p.m.
Yes Huib the same boat, ever had your phone number for my first booking.
Kick is absolutely right about the place where this video was made.
I have checked with my husband who currently still resides in Huahin.
However, he does not know what kind of fish it is.
Maybe someone else can tell?
name of the fish is meekong catfich greetings kick
Dear Mr Wallie, what is the difference between bred catfish or one that is not bred. Does it sometimes swim even faster? Are they different in color? So your answer makes no sense. What we care about is the fun you get from it during your holiday, such as a day at the beach, visiting a temple or a market.!!!!! PS Trees Thank you for the video so that thaiblog readers can see what there is to do in Thailand for little money. Greetings Kick
You're welcome Kick!
Greetings
Trees
Fish tourism in Thailand, recently spoke to 3 guys around 25 who went to Thailand for the fish and not for the ladies. According to them, quite a lot of fishermen go to Thailand for that, I hadn't heard before
