mr. drs. Kees Rade

mr. drs. Kees Rade has only just landed on Thai soil when he is already honoring the NVTHC with a visit on Friday 30 March. He will bring his wife and possibly two embassy employees.

The NVTHC is extremely pleased with the arrival of the new ambassador, successor to Karel Hartogh, who passed away last year.

We welcome him at 18.00 p.m in Happy Family Resort by René Braat (www.happyfamilyresort.com) on Sampraya Road, just behind Palm Hills.

Members have free entry, non-members pay 250 baht at the entrance to treasurer Thomas Voerman, who will closely monitor payment. You are of course better off becoming a member for 500 baht per person.

People who have questions for Mr. Rade or one of his employees are kindly requested to send them by e-mail before March 28 to [email protected].

Kees Rade (63) was born in Amsterdam. He studied law at the University of Amsterdam and has been working for Foreign Affairs for thirty years now. Rade was ambassador in Nicaragua and Brazil, among others. Most recently he acted as temporary chargé d'affaires in Paramaribo (Suriname). Rade is an expert on climate, water, food security, energy and natural resources. In that respect, he can lose his egg in Thailand.

The board had asked Gerard Smit to tell something about his medical experiences in Hua Hin as a former general practitioner in Hoogvliet on March 30. Due to the arrival of the new ambassador, his story has been moved to Friday 25 May.

  • Description for the route to Happy Family Resort.
  • From Phetkasem Road, take the exit to Palm Hills.
  • (It doesn't matter where you come from)
  • At the roundabout keep right on khlong road.
  • Then turn left at the first roundabout.
  • After about a kilometer on the right at the water tower you will find the Happy Family Resort. Parking outside the resort along the road.

Ps The reception of Kees Rade takes place in a casual atmosphere. Nevertheless, we ask those present to take this into account when choosing clothing.

1 thought on “New ambassador Kees Rade is coming to Hua Hin!”

  1. Thailand John says up

Very nice for Hua Hin that the new ambassador is coming to you. I hope that he will also come to Pattaya to visit the Dutch association Pattaya there. I could also ask him if a consulate is not possible. Because in Pattaya and the surrounding area there are also many Dutch people and many old people. For whom it is becoming increasingly difficult to travel to Bangkok to the embassy / consulate there. It's hell for me and I think there are more elderly people for whom that would be very nice. A small consular post should be possible anyway. Perhaps in collaboration with the Austrian consulate to keep costs down.
That would be really nice. But it will remain a dream. Sincerely and wish the Dutch association Bangkok good luck and a pleasant and pleasant evening.

mr. drs. Kees Rade I wish you a pleasant and pleasant stay there and I also look forward to seeing you in Pattaya. They'll be happy with that too. Me anyway.
