Pattaya Lager Beer

Months ago I read in the local press and on Thailand blog that a new brand of beer had been introduced with the catchy name Pattaya Lager Beer.

It's a weird feature, but I get interested after reading such a post. After a few weeks I went to the place where the beer was offered to the public. They didn't have it (anymore). I searched the Internet and found a shop near the beach near me. I went there and they had never heard of this beer. I sent an email to the manufacturer but got no response. In short, I understood that the big brands had done everything to keep a competitor off the market. My curiosity faded.

Until I heard someone say without any ulterior motive in RinKitchen: yesterday we drank Pattaya Lager Beer. I immediately inquired where that was. After that I was unstoppable.

The establishment in question is located between Bali Hai Restaurant and the lighthouse. Easiest to find by driving from Pattaya along the Bail Hai Pier towards the lighthouse. Right next to it is a very pleasant-looking restaurant. Romantically decorated with a beautiful view over the bay and the sea. An enormous amount of signs and exceptionally nice staff make it clear that we are at the right place. Before we start the meal we order large bottles of beer.

It is terribly difficult, at least for me, to explain why this beer is different from other beers. Actually it is no different. Well, it's more like Singha than Chang. Even more maybe on Heineken. In short, recommended for thirsty souls who want to quench their thirst at a pleasant temperature with a panoramic view. Another look at the restaurant.

It looks like English beer (as dead as a door).

Is it because of the beer, or are the glasses sometimes greasy?

      Dear Theo

I can assure you that in the average English beer, the ale, there is many times more life than in lager / lager.

The latter beer is completely dead due to the preparation method, the addition of all sorts of shelf life-enhancing junk, and so on.

English beer is highly fermented beer, it has less sauerkraut, ehhhh carbon dioxide in it and therefore it foams less, and it is not customary for a third of the glass to be foam, no, sir, an English beer, so ale, is a glass full beer with a little foam.

And what's more, English Ale (capitalized), has flavor.
And therefore does not have to be served at a race-promoting temperature, such as lager.

Well, it depends on what you mean by "life". Living organisms don't do that for me.

To use a cliché again: tastes differ. I've had to (don't ask) drink ale in Ireland for years. Thankfully I am now cured of that.
        Give me a foamy beer.

Theo every beer is so so in thayland but tastes good.
That is why it is usually drunk from the bottle.

Every beer is worthless here...but yes it is hot and you are thirsty then you are happy that we have all the Thai beers for lack of anything better...in Belgium I had a brewer in my street and he brewed for pleasure...but guys, that was a nice beer and not like the beers here, but I got drunk there quickly...I find the beers here so bland...
And our abbey beers are delicious….. honestly I'm not a big drinker but I'm wrong
my nice brown westvleteren … plaice people ..
