The Swedish meatballs will be for sale again from Friday 2 August in the IKEA Bangna restaurant. That is good news for enthusiasts, who had to wait a while because sales were temporarily halted.

The reintroduction comes after the results of a DNA study by an independent laboratory and tests carried out by an internationally renowned Quality Assurance Company, confirming that the meatballs contain only beef and pork.

IKEA Thailand will celebrate this favorable result with two special meatball offers on that Friday, August 2. The first 500 customers in the restaurant will receive a free plate of 10 meatballs. Furthermore, it is “ten meatballs for 50 baht” (normal price 95 baht) that day. So Friday 2 August is meatloaf day at IKEA.

In addition to the extensive testing IKEA has commissioned, IKEA has issued a statement committing the company to improving food security in the restaurant: “IKEA is committed to offering only high quality food, safe, healthy and produced with care for the environment. environment and the people who produce it”.

To fulfill this promise, IKEA has now introduced new quality controls, such as reducing the number of meat suppliers to simplify the supply chain, DNA analysis of raw meat, strict requirements for sourcing and processing of all meat products and a regular audit of suppliers and suppliers.

So, luckily another problem solved in Thailand, now for those few others!

Bon appetit Friday!

Is it an idea, after handing over the booklet to the ambassador, to eat meatballs together? I'm in favor of a bargain, because our seagulls are frugal, aren't they?
