The uninhabited Island Mu Koh Hong in the south of Thailand belongs to the Hong Islands and is located in the Than Bok Khorani National Park in the province Krabi. This is a collection of large and small islands such as Koh Lao, Sa Ga, Koh Lao Riam, Koh Pak Ka and Koh Lao Lading.

The wing-shaped island of Koh Hong is the largest island. The beauty of Koh Hong is hard to describe, you just have to see it. The impressive limestone rocks that seem to rise from the sea, clear water, beautiful white beaches and vibrant coral reefs are phenomenal.

If you are lucky you can spot white-faced gibbons and huge lizards. Also famous is the large lagoon. That's where the name Hong comes from. You can reach the lagoon with a kayak, which also sails at low tide.

The island has a 400m long nature trail should you fancy a walk. You can also canoe, swim and snorkel. There is a camping area where you can spend the night for only 200 THB per night, but you must bring your own tent.

Located 46 km from the provincial town of Krabi, Mu Koh Hong is located in Than Bokkhorani, Tambon Ao Luek Tai.
