Visited Chiang Mai Immigration today for my 90 days notice and re-entry permit application. I got in at 13.10 pm and was outside again 20 minutes later: everything arranged! Tribute!

But this aside, at the 90 day notification I also submitted a number of copies, but the lady at the desk said: No need any more! Only the TM 47 document was needed.

I don't know if this is already a general rule, otherwise maybe worth mentioning by Ronny Latya

Of course that is worth mentioning Harry. That is one of the reasons to prepare “TB Immigration Info Letters”. Thanks for the notification in advance.

Computerization is increasingly entering the government. It will be some time before we can put the paperwork behind us, but there has to be a start somewhere.
This is also the case with immigration. Recently read an article that the embassies were linked to the databases of immigration.
Ultimately, all this should lead to less paper and better and faster service. We can only applaud that and hope that trend continues I think.

The faster processing of, among other things, the 90-day notification, with less paperwork, in Immigration Chiang Mai is also a result of this. In some other offices, including Pattaya I think, this has been the case for a long time.
So it does indeed seem to be becoming a general rule, insofar as they are already equipped for it, of course.

Although it was actually also one of Big Joke's points to eventually delete that 90-day notification completely and that would be really nice of course.

But Immigration Chiang Mai is building up a nice image in the meantime. I've been reading nothing but positive messages lately (I thought Nicole recently on TB) and that's how it should be.
It was once different.

Question: How does the 90-day notification happen in your immigration office or do you perhaps do it by post or online and what are your experiences with it?

“Reactions are very welcome on the subject, but limit yourself here to the subject of this “TB Immigration Infobrief.
