Reporter: Geert

Info about 90-day notification in Chiang Mai. Today, April 10 (14 days before my uninterrupted 90-day stay in the Kingdom of Thailand), I can make my 90-day report. Yesterday it was reported that “Foreigners who are required to make a 26-day address report between March 2020, 30 and April 2020, 90 are exempt from this 90-day address report until further notice.” I made the report online anyway.

At first I tried it with the app “IMM eService” on my iPhone. Everything was filled in correctly, but I still got the message that my data could not be found. I've tried again several times, but to no avail.

Then try with the MacbookPro at the address: extranet.immigration.go.th/

This worked on the first try. Within 15 minutes I also received confirmation and status “APPROVED”.
I also immediately downloaded “next appointment – receipt of notification” and printed it out to keep in my passport.

Well, that's neatly arranged.

Yesterday my article did not say that you could not make the report, only that you are exempt from it.

That is why I had written under it "You can of course also just make the report online if you want to and that way you will of course also stay in order yourself if the measure is declared."

There is no mention in the rules that everyone will have to walk to the immigration offices immediately after the exemption.

It says “Aliens who are due for 90 days reports between 26th of March 2020 and 30th of April 2020 are temporarily exempted from reporting in this period until further notice.”

So “until further notice”. It is therefore possible that this will indeed shift to the next 90 day period. Just like you say. The future will determine that.

Try the internet as Geert did. Maybe it will work out.

I also kept getting the same message “data not found”, data not found.
As stated in my post, the laptop went smoothly and quickly.

      Goodbye.

90-day notification made on April 1 via the Internet. Remains unanswered. Went to Immigration office myself, resolved within 5 minutes.

The exemption is of course just meant so that you don't have to make that move.

Of course I also know that dear Ronny…
Some personal (!) reasons to make the trip:
        – Attempt made via internet, result see above
        – Automatic renewal: “temporarily exempted” & “Until further notice”
        – Immigration office is barely 7 km from our house
        – Can now sleep on my 2 ears until July 8th

A 90-day notification has nothing to do with an extension.
Those who had to make the address report between March 26 and April 30 are exempt. That will probably mean they can skip a notification.

    Won't work over the internet.

    more

Keep getting this message in Thai.

Same as the other “data not found” messages

As expected, it doesn't work either way, not the app and not the website.
Registering works in a few seconds, perfect. But the rest they have to work on for a few more years before they can help you.
The best thing is for you to go there yourself and show yourself to the friendly immigration officers,
Mss behind a few years that it works.
