Thai Immigration has announced that foreigners who are unable to return to their home countries due to Covid-19 or the ongoing war in Ukraine can apply for permission to extend their stay in Thailand until May 24.

This means that the application for the so-called Corona extension of 60 days has been extended to May 24 and has been extended to those who are unable to return due to the war in Ukraine.

One could then stay in Thailand until July 23 if the application is still made on May 24.

Normally this extension does not apply to Non-immigrants, in other words only to those who stay here with a Tourist status and insofar as immigration accepts the application of course. One will also first have to apply for the regular 30 days before it can be applied for.

To obtain this extension, you must complete the following form:

See Affidavit for granting permission for temporarily stay in the Kingdom during the pandemic situation of COVID-19
