Subject: Immigration – General

Hi Ronny, maybe a suggestion to keep track of where the Visa support letter is accepted. I have now paid a lot of money to still get an annual visa in Buriram.

Reaction RonnyLatYa

Yes, why not.

I'm not going to keep track of it myself, but if anyone feels called to take it on... let me know.

In the meantime, one can already let us know in a response whether the Visa Support Letter or the “Income Affidavit” is accepted or not.

In Kanchanaburi I can already say that this year the “Income Affidavit” was accepted. So I suspect the “Visa Support Letter” as well.

Went to Buriram Immigration a few days ago for my year extension. I had a visa support letter, delivered by the Dutch embassy in Bangkok. This letter of support was accepted by the IO in Buriram without any problem. I did have to provide a Thai invoice confirming the shortfall in income indicated in the letter of support. So NOTHING abnormal. Before me there was a white nose, whose nationality I do not know, who did have problems. According to what I could gather from the conversations, his income, at the current rate, was too low and he had to submit a Thai bill with the shortfall. An account with this deficit that he could not present. I don't know the continuation of it because I had already left with my year extension.

Have been using Buriram Immigration for years and everything goes by the book.
