"Song for the King"

November 20 2016

It is a great honor to be invited as a Dutchman to contribute to the commemoration of the late Thai King Bhumibol. For example, on November 8, Jos Muijtjens played the trumpet accompanying 11 elephants from The Royal Elephant Kraal during the memorial ceremony for the king.

Another Dutchman, Colin de Jong, was asked by lawyer Werachan to make a “Song for the King”. Perhaps not entirely coincidentally, because Colin de Jong already had ties with the royal family. For example, he was personally invited to a party at Princess Soamsowalee to sing on her birthday.

This “Song for the King” was created together with two colleagues from Pattaya, Rose and troubadour Gerbrand during ten days in the Ocean Wave Studio.

On Friday, November 25, 2016, the first copy of this exclusive CD “Song for the King” will be presented by Colin to one of the members of the Royal Family at the Royal Palace in Bangkok.

This exclusive limited CD "Song for the King" is available at all well-known Dutch restaurants in Pattaya and at the Green Parrot Restaurant in Bangkok, Soi 29 and costs only 200 Baht. The proceeds from this CD will go to Colin de Jong Shelter Center Pattaya, where young children are cared for.

It will be available on YouTube from Friday 25 November.

“Song for the King” by Colin Young and friends; known for other songs: "Seize the day" and "Rock and Roll in Pattaya".

I would very much like to see this announcement posted again on November 25th.
This is just a reminder that it can be listened to via you tube. (maybe shortcut?)
    I would really appreciate it.

small addition to the above: I'm not in Thailand (Pattaya) right now, so I can't buy the CD, hence my question about u tube reference. I will be back in Pattaya in January and will certainly try to get hold of the CD somewhere. (if someone can give me an address near Tuckom ?? would be nice. Thanks in advance dear friends, and see you soon.
