Filming for the exciting new Dutch action thriller “Full Moon” has recently been completed. Set in exotic Thailand, the film follows the tumultuous adventure of four thirty-somethings who see their wild vacation turn into a terrifying experience. During an infamous 'Full Moon Party' on a Thai island, the fun is rudely interrupted when the body of a young woman washes up and the group of friends are suddenly identified as the main suspects.

The star cast includes Yannick Jozefzoon, Kay Greidanus, Matthijs van de Sande Bakhuyzen, and Joep Paddenburg, with script by Brian De Vore and direction by David Cocheret. Filming in Thailand not only provided a backdrop of beautiful landscapes, but also presented physical challenges such as working among poisonous animals and extreme temperatures.

The film production was characterized by a rich cultural exchange between the Dutch and Thai film crews, even integrating cultural customs such as the blessing of the set by a local monk.

Produced by NL Film and supported by multiple organizations including the Netherlands Film Production Incentive, “Full Moon” is in post-production and is expected to hit Dutch cinemas in 2025.

Will definitely see that movie. Hope they don't romanticize it because it is unfortunately true that there are murders on that infamous island and people are accused ad hoc, preferably foreigners such as the two men from Myanmar. DNA evidence is ignored, the 'crime scene' is trampled and the suspects are tortured to extract a confession. The darkest side of Thailand on an island managed by a few families that wouldn't look out of place in southern Italy... I'm curious.
