Shopping paradise Bangkok
A visit to Bangkok is only complete when you have also taken a look at the gigantic luxury shopping centres.
Besides the fact that you can spend great money or marvel at all the luxury you can imagine, the shopping malls also have excellent restaurants (food courts). Some shopping centers have a mega cinema, sea aquarium or huge play paradises for children. Tired of walking? Have your feet and lower legs massaged. This makes shopping a real day out.
A number of shopping malls that you must have seen:
Centralworld
This mall is known as the largest lifestyle mall in Southeast Asia. The complex covers 550.000 m²! You will find 500 shops, 50 restaurants, 21 cinemas, a bowling center, a playground and the largest supermarket in Asia.

Siam Paragon Shopping Centre
Siam Paragon is not the largest but nice to see because of the many luxury brands. From expensive car brands to art and from diamonds to designer clothes, Siam Paragon has it. Opened in 2005, the mall is home to more than 250 local and international brands. The five-storey building really has everything you can think of in terms of luxury.

Emporium
The Emporium in Bangkok is a seven-level shopping paradise, with the first three floors dedicated to fashion. You will find all well-known brand items from all over the world, such as: Calvin Klein, Diesel, DKNY, Paul Smith, Prada, La Perla, Ungaro, Armani, Chanel, Fendi, Hermes and Louis Vutton. MBK Shopping Centre
Mah Boon Krong (MBK) is Bangkok's most popular shopping mall. A great place to meet locals and other tourists. It is an excellent shopping mall because you can really find everything at reasonable prices. The shopping center has eight floors and more than 2.000 shops. The best address in Thailand for electronics, computers, phones and accessories. But they also have furniture, fashion, leather goods and much more.

Gaysorn Shopping Mall
Gaysorn is a chic complex of lots of marble and chrome and only top quality luxury and designer labels. Like many well-known shopping malls, Gaysorn is located in the Ratchaprasong shopping district, within walking distance of CentralWorld and Erawan. There is a direct access to the skywalk from Chit Lom BTS Station and on the second floor, there is a passageway to InterContinental Bangkok Hotel for the convenience of travelers staying there. In Gaysorn you will find a wide range of international brands such as Ermenegildo Zegna, Emilio Pucci, Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Prada and Hugo Boss. Also a selection of Thailand's most innovative designers, such as Disaya, Fly Now, Senada Theory and Kloset Red Carpet. Emden, the British designer bag brand, has opened its first boutique in Asia. Jewelers with precious jewelry are located on the third floor. Watch brands Omega and Tag Heuer have major sales outlets there.

There are of course many more luxury shopping malls in Bangkok, these are close to each other so can be done in a day.
I did some great shopping in June and love Siam Paragon.
Then went shopping to Hong Kong and then back to th and went to my brother.

Bangkok is the only city in the world to have two 5 star markets. 1 on Sukumvith and 1 on Silom. What I usually do is just look around and take the river boat to Banglampu the next day to buy the things I need. It makes a huge difference in price.
That's right, the Bijenkorf is one more Hema. In which department store can you find a car dealer? Audi, BMW, Porsche, Ferrari and Maserati. I will not buy a Maserati there, but shoes and (brand) shirts are affordable. Was in Cologne last week and there the prices for the same items were 2 to 3 times higher! And an experience is the lower floor, just food. All well-known world restaurants are represented there, from cheaper to pricey, and you can go there for all (world) dishes. An unforgettable experience.
A shopping center just outside the city and therefore not so busy and also lower prices is Central Plaza on Chaeng Wattana in Pakkred. This one has been open for about 3 years now and, according to my Thai colleagues, one of the best and nicest Centrals.
A market that you should not miss is the weekend market in Chatuchak, the largest open-air market in the world. Very easy to reach by skytrain or metro, Morchit stop.
Another shopping mall that is definitely worth a visit is Terminal 21, at Asok BTS station on Sukhumvit. The interesting concept of this shopping mall is that world-famous cities are brought together under one roof.
The exterior resembles that of a modern 21st century airport and this theme continues as soon as you enter the mall: signs on the ground indicate that you have arrived in a different city, an extensive network of escalators, electronic information boards that think of the information boards in airports and the ladies at the information desks wear a uniform that resembles the uniforms of flight attendants.
