In response to the question to general practitioner Maarten of March 23, 2020 regarding the pneumococcal vaccination for prevention against (the consequences of) the Coronavirus, I went to the Bangkok Hospital Pattaya on March 24, 2020 for a Pneumovax 23 vaccination.
I am 73 years old, 62 kg. Cardiac patient since 2016 (1 stent). Am still healthy. My question, I do the flu vaccination every year around July. When can I start doing this Pneumovax 23? A month or more after this vaccination?

The Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced that the travel advice for Thailand has been adjusted. The local government in Thailand is taking very drastic measures to reduce the risk of spreading the coronavirus (COVID-19). There are entry restrictions for travelers from certain countries where the corona virus has been diagnosed.
There are now 147 registered infections in Thailand (editor: the number of unregistered infections will probably be a multiple). This increase of 33 people is partly due to a boxing match in Lumpini Boxing stadium where 7 people are infected. Three other newly infected persons have been in a bar. Another six had been in contact with already infected patients.
