Calendar: International Balloon Festival 2013 Chiang Mai

Put December 7th and 8th in your diary so you can enjoy the Thailand International Balloon Festival 2013. It takes place at the Chiang Mai Gymkhana Golf Club, close to the city center.
The festival will open on the morning of December 7 with the take-off of a number of colorful hot air balloons. There are also fun activities in the afternoon such as balloon flights, kite flying, games and a raffle.
Of course you can eat well on the festival site. The highlight of this event is the famous “Balloon Night Glow”. A spectacle of light and sound.
Music lovers will also get their money's worth. There are performances by well-known Thai and international artists such as Garth Taylor, Palmy, Hugo and the famous pianist Nueng Jakkawal.
The prices of the tckets are 200 baht for adult and 50 baht for children from 7 to 12 years old. Free entry for children under seven years old.
