16.000 Baht for a ticket with a nice dinner?
Does that Engelbert still need that in his old age?
He seems like the Cristiano Ronaldo of the English-speaking music world.
I went to the Tom Jones concert in Bangkok a few years ago: 4.000 Baht: a party.

Oh Chris, Let's just say everyone has to live. And preferably good of course. That price setting reminds me a bit of the exhibition match Manchester United (without Ronaldo) against FC Liverpool a few weeks ago at the Rajamangala Stadium in Bangkok. The entrance fees were between 25.000 and 5.000 THB. I would have loved to be there too, but too much is too much. And yet there were more than 50.000 spectators. It's what the madman is willing to give for it.

Good memories of that singer… but THB 16.000 entrance fee… you must be a real enthusiast!

The good man is 86! Four years older than Tom Jones and the power of the voice is also decreasing there. Understandable, by the way. Do they want to imitate the tenor Johannes Heesters who was still singing at the age of 100?

I think 16k baht is a bit too much. I have a lot of CDs for that from both Engelbert and Tom. Two birds with one stone.
