Dr. Cees Lepair wants to share his climate views with those present in Hua Hin/Cha Am on Friday, February 28. It promises to be a fascinating meeting (with light images) on a subject that concerns us all.

You are welcome at the Sailing Club Hua Hin (in Cha Am) from 18.00 pm. Free entrance, food and drinks for your own account. Non-members can become a member for 500 baht per year if they wish. Below Cees makes a cross:

In a time long ago and a continent far from here, all scientists knew that the sun revolved around the earth. They were very handsome. They could precisely calculate the position of stars and planets in the sky. They knew when solar and lunar eclipses occurred and much more. Two of them, Copernicus and Galileo, claimed otherwise. The first kept his mouth shut until his deathbed. The other was placed under house arrest and banned from speaking in a court case in which all scientists testified against him. His teaching invoked God's wrath upon the world.

In our grandparents' day, Einstein's theory was rejected in the leading scientific journals. When I was a student, the discoverers of the continental shift were fired by their universities.

Around the year 2000, according to almost all scientists, the world was nearing its end due to the emission of CO2. There were voices to punish the deniers, because they threatened survival. To begin with, they lost their jobs. The only people who were still a bit squeamish were a few pensioners. They didn't have to fear that.

So I am one of those. And now you know the risks if you copy me. You have been warned.

Is there no climate danger in my opinion? Sure and true! Disaster is imminent. But not those of a warmer world. The disaster that awaits us, we call upon ourselves. Not with CO2, but with a lack of energy. If the world were so stupid to follow the example of the Netherlands and the European Union, the lights would go out every now and then and we would get cold. Then follows poverty, and hunger; and finally mass mortality. It won't go that fast. I think it stays with economic damage. Then we get rebellion, or the threat of it. And then the same or new rulers will turn around. The sooner that happens, the better. Maybe we can do something about it in the next election.

At the Sailing Club meeting I want to try to explain why the CO2hunt, which is now being conducted, is just as stupid as the position taken by the opponents of Galileo and Copernicus.

    @Dr. Lepair:

'I am thus one' is not really clear and unimportant.

Obviously from Dr. Lepair is setting subjective priorities regarding urgency in climate change while also dismissing the Co2 issue as stupid.

A bit short-sighted of this Dr.

The measures that are now being imposed by Europe are simply unrealistic. Farmers and construction are an example of this in the Netherlands. The standards and rules for new construction in Belgium are very expensive, the benefits are mainly there in theory, in practice they only exacerbate the problems. Europe really can't save the world, they just don't understand it yet. It is also not the fault of colonialism that things are going so badly in Africa, they also feel guilty about that.
Here in Thailand they are absolutely not worried about the Co2 problem.
We cannot deny that there will be a major problem for the future. Changing something about it, with a growing world population, is a utopia in my opinion.

Another good example and certainly not a stupid boy: Lord Christopher Monckton, 3rd Viscount of Brenchley
    Many videos on youtube
    Everything is supported by graphs.

Looks like an interesting meeting to me. On the internet his name is Kees with a K and his site is https://www.climategate.nl/author/keeslepair/

I await with interest the report of this February 28 meeting.

The disaster that awaits us is not the lack of energy!

That will be the water supply in all parts of the world and its distribution, see for example the “Mekong disaster”.
