It's winter in Thailand and that means cooler weather across the country. The cool breeze makes walking outside a pleasant activity.

Hiking can be done anywhere near you, but the Bangkok Post has listed a number of events in the country that allow you to enjoy the “winter season” in a great way. Also use it as a "reward" for the fact that you have endured the not so nice year 2020.

Look for the story and enjoy the beautiful photos on this link: www.bangkokpost.com/travel/2022799/winter-wonderlands

I think it's nice to see that there is positivity by organizing these events. Some of the visitors to TB make the people on the internet believe that poverty is trump card, but the reality is fortunately different.

I have no idea how many people in Thailand live in poverty.
One is already too many in my perception.

But also in the Netherlands many people live in poverty.
And of course the concept of poverty can be interpreted broadly, but in today's world that should not be possible.

Beautiful pictures and nature, flora and fauna will not lie. The Thai people always try to make something out of it and they regularly succeed exceptionally well. My wife and I take a few days trips through Thailand every month and I can confirm that even in negative times, the positive things can be seen. You don't see what you don't want to see and that can be interpreted in several ways.
