The King Power MahaNakhon Tower is an iconic skyscraper in the center of Bangkok and also the second tallest building in the capital. The perfect place for a fantastic view! That's what the Mahanakhon SkyWalk offers, a breathtaking 360-degree panorama high above the City of Angels.
The skyscraper is special in itself with 1,6 million square meters of surface area and 77 floors. It is located between Silom and Sathorn Road. The immense tower cost $515 million and took two years to build. The building houses a hotel (The Bangkok Edition Hotel) with 150 rooms operated by the Marriott International Group. In addition, there is accommodation for 200 very luxurious apartments. These are managed and operated by The Ritz-Carlton.
The most striking feature of the SkyWalk is the glass observation deck. Located on the 78th floor, this deck offers a 360-degree panorama of Bangkok. What makes this experience even more exciting is the glass floor, which makes visitors literally feel like they are walking on air with the city under their feet.
In addition to the observation deck, the Mahanakhon SkyWalk also features a bar on the 78th floor, where visitors can enjoy drinks with a view. There is also an indoor observatory on the 74th floor, providing an alternative for visitors who prefer to stay indoors.
The architecture of the King Power Mahanakhon Tower itself is also worth mentioning. The building has a unique pixelated structure that makes it a striking appearance in the Bangkok skyline. At night the building is illuminated with a light show, making it a popular location for photography.

On the roof of the skyscraper is a restaurant and bar with a spectacular view of Bangkok. Those who dare can walk on a glass floor at a height of no less than 314 meters!
- Entrance: 1050 baht for adults, 250 baht for children and elderly (60+).
- Opening hours: Every day from 10:00 AM – 00:00 AM.
The text reads, "the second tallest building in the capital". What is the tallest? I think there isn't.

The Baiyoke Tower 2 in Bangkok with 84 floors
November 2018, super fun to have done.
One of my highlights of bangkok
I just checked with a friend in Bangkok (real estate agent) but it is the tallest building…
The Baiyoke Tower 2 in Bangkok with 84 floors
No, not the tallest building because that is currently Magnolias Waterfront Residences Tower 1 since 2018 which is next to IconSiam with a height of 318 meters and therefore higher than King Power MahaNakhon Tower. Baiyoke 2 tower is 304 meters high and currently Signature Tower One Bangkok is under construction with a height of 437 meters.
I have to correct myself. She sent an app immediately afterwards..
“No1 is Magnolias waterfront residence at icon siam ”
With an impressive photo that unfortunately I can't post. But the dear reader can google .
I know that in Thailand I often spend too much money for many things, but thirty euros for a view…
It's about the experience and excitement. And since the glass floor is not found everywhere in the world, this is a nice experience, but every thing
very expensive by THAI CONCEPTS…but was well worth the money.
Free in Hua Hin at Foxes International Sky bar. Not that high, but as often and for as long as you want. And for the saved 1050 Baht a great dinner location at the same height and 360 degree view… Oh Yes, I have no interest or shares… For me one of the better restaurants.
Haha, in Hua Hin there is no skyline view. Can't you compare with BKK?? This having said, I have a hard time understanding why higher end condos are more popular. Certainly not for me, they don't get me that high 🙂
The Magnolias is 4 meters higher than the Mahanakhon, Bayoke II ranks 4th. See: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_tallest_structures_in_Thailand
Minor update/correction. It is not an Edition (by Marriott) hotel. The Accor group operates the hotel.

Were there in October.
Despite the price, definitely worth it. Drinks at the top bar are extremely expensive by Thai standards.
For the rest, a truly BREATH-TAKING experience.
Been there this month. Price is 1000 baht until 16.00:1200, then XNUMX baht. Lots of smog, but the view in the distance and down was fine. Unfortunately no sunset possible.
From the skywalk you can walk several meters higher and sit in the sun and/or make a 360 degree video.
Many tourists left the building immediately after visiting and did not use the fun laser show on the fourth floor, which is included in the price.
