Air Race U-Tapao Thailand
The fleet review last weekend was the big crowd puller. And indeed there were interesting parts. However, what a number of interested people mainly came to, was to be able to view the naval ships up close. Unfortunately that was a disappointment because the ships anchored offshore.
Another major event took place at U-Tapao airfield. For the enthusiasts who couldn't be in two places at the same time, here's an impression via YouTube:

There may be a sequel to the Air Races next year, which cannot be said of the ASEAN meeting. In that respect, those affected by loss of income due to the ASEAN event can breathe a sigh of relief. Will the people of Koh Larn and the ferry operators still receive compensation? Together they could submit a substantiated claim, otherwise things will look bleak for them and they will have to accept their loss.
