On Saturday 5 July, lovers of Thai music can visit Worm in the heart of Rotterdam. During this Pantropical party, special attention is paid to the extravagant Thai pop culture of the 60s and 70s. This is the very first special in Rotterdam for this music, played and played by musicians and a DJ from Thailand.

DJ Maft Sai wants to put subgenres like Molam, Thai funk and Luk Thung* in the international spotlight. He does this by releasing forgotten gems on his own Zudrangma label, through his infamous 'Paradise Bangkok' and 'Isan Dancehall' parties and his contributions to compilations for Finders Keepers, among others.

He is also the promoter of the Paradise Bangkok Molam International Band, who play vintage Molam with a danceable 21st century vibe. A must for fans of leading labels like Soundway, Finders Keepers and of course Sublime Frequencies!

*Molam is versatile folk originating from Laos and the mainly rural Northeast of Thailand (known as Isan). Luk Thung is a branch of this.
