Tiger in the wild in Thailand

On the occasion of International Tiger Day on July 29, the Department of National Parks, Wildlife and Plant Conservation has organized an exhibition. The exhibition, which is free to the public, opened yesterday (July 25) and runs until August 2, 2020 and will take place at the Bangkok Art and Culture Center in Pathumwan District

Not only will there be many photos of tigers in the wild, but also an explanation will be given about the situation of the tiger population in Thailand and the work that the Thai government is doing to protect that population.

In Thailand, 130 to 160 tigers currently live in a natural environment, most of them in the forested Western Region and the Huai Kha Khaeng Wildlife Sanctuary. A spokesman for the Department of National Parks, Wildlife and Plant Conservation said: "Over the past 10 years, the number of tigers in the wild has risen from 40 to 80 and we estimate that the number could double in the next 3 years due to restoration of the natural environment.

The annual International Tiger Day on July 29 has been created to raise awareness for the protection of tigers in their natural environment. Tigers can only be found in the following 3 countries: Bangladesh, Bhutan, Cambodia, China, India, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Nepal, Russia, Vietnam and Thailand.

  1. T says up

It is very important that sufficient attention remains for this among all the corona violence.
Nature and wildlife are having an extra hard time due to the corona era, because regular work is being canceled.
And poaching and illegal practices in nature parks are increasing day by day, I hope there will be sufficient attention and higher penalties for poachers and related!
