Agenda: Loy Krathong and Oldtimer rally in Pattaya
This month the famous Loy Krathong party will be celebrated on Wednesday 25 November. Preparations are in full swing and the city council has opted this time for the Lan Pho park in Naklua.
To give it an extra touch, there is a competition for schools to make the most beautiful Krathong image. The main prize is 10.000 Baht. The Loy Krathong festival is one of the most colorful celebrations in Thailand, with natural or artificial water features that are beautifully lit, playing an important role.
Classic car rally
Next year 2016, a rally for old cars will be held in Pattaya on February 27. This is organized by the Rotary Club Phönix in Pattaya. This is done in the context of the traditional spring festival. The proceeds will benefit a project for orphans. Club member Jo Klemm has chosen “old cars” as the theme for this party. As a classic car enthusiast and collector, he wants to organize a city rally and a Concours d'Elegance, the election of the most beautiful car. Orphans are allowed to ride in these special cars.
Why is this reported so early? Owners of old-timers are urged to register to participate in this promotion. This rally will be accompanied by the police.

We always celebrated this with some well-known and Thai supporters on Dongtanbeach beach.
There were chairs and tables. And an excellent barbeque was organized by our beach tent owner. There was also live music.
This happened in many places on Dongtan Beach.
It was always very nice and very busy
Unfortunately this year it can't and shouldn't. It is on a Wednesday and then the beach must be empty of chairs, etc. No exceptions are allowed (to date).
Experienced Loy Krathon in Pattaya once and it is certainly recommended to experience this.
Many ladies are also beautifully dressed, mostly beautiful silk clothing. One more beautiful than the other. Think about 75% participate in this. Unfortunately I don't have any pictures of it, maybe others do have them to show.
