To complete the SSMS Summer School, a full symphony orchestra will perform afternoon concerts on April 5 and 6 under the motto “Romance Orchestra”.

The first concert will take place on April 5 at Tiffany's Theater in Pattaya (starting at 2 pm) and on April 6 at the Mahisorn Hall of SCB Park Plaza on Ratchadaphisek Road in Bangkok (starting at 5 pm).

The orchestra is led by the Japanese conductor Hikotaro Yazaki, who has worked with approximately 100 young musical talents, selected through a rigorous audition, throughout the summer school period.

Silpakorn Summer Music School, which takes place annually, is considered the most prestigious summer music school in Thailand. The young talents are then enabled to play music together and further increase their musical knowledge and experience under the guidance of teachers at the music faculty of Silpakorn University.

The program for both concerts is as follows:

  1. Richard Wagner: Prelude from Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg, WWV 96
  2. MLUsni Pramoj: Chakri Day
  3. Richard Strauss: Horn Concerto No.1 in E – flat Major, Op.11
