Agenda: NVTP golf tournament
For the first time, the Dutch Association Thailand Pattaya is organizing a golf tournament. Golf enthusiasts are invited to participate in this tournament on Tuesday 17 December.
The game format is Texas Scramble, stroke play. Experts undoubtedly know what this means. There are prizes for the two best teams, the longest drives women and men, possibly divided into categories depending on participation, and the nearys.
This tournament takes place on the beautiful golf course of Eastern Star Country Club & Resort (Rayong: 241/5 Moo 3, Pla, Banchang, Rayong 21130). Coordinates: 12°43'42.96″ N 101°04'01.20″ E .
Programme:
- 11.00-11.45: reception
- 12.00-16.30: start of tournament, start of holes 1 and 10
- 16.30:17.30 PM - XNUMX:XNUMX PM: end of tournament/opportunity to freshen up
- 17.30:19.30 PM - XNUMX:XNUMX PM: buffet with prize giving ceremony
The costs for this day for non-members of the Eastern Golf Club are 1700 Baht, (Green fee, caddy fee, dinner, goody bag,) excluding caddy tip and refreshments.
For Eastern Star members, the cost is 950 Baht (dinner, caddy fee, goody bag) plus applicable track fees, excluding caddy tip and refreshments.

Texas Scramble (4-player stroke play)
The very popular Texas scramble is a competition played by teams of four people. All four tee off at the teeing ground(s) and then the team members choose the ball with the best location. THE remaining three balls are picked up and placed within one club length of this ball, but no closer to the hole. All players take turns hitting their second ball from this position.
Then it is again chosen which ball has the best position and everyone places their ball again within one club length. If a ball is selected in a hazard or in the rough, the other balls must also be played from there. Marking can be done using a tee. On the greens, balls must be played within 10 inches of the chosen ball (but no closer to the hole). This place should be marked with a marker. The best score is recorded after each hole. After the eighteen holes have been played, the scores are added up. The team with the lowest net score is the winner.
The scorecard must be signed by two players of the team.
IMPORTANT: Each player must select the ball with the best location at least four times (also note this on the score card).
Handicap settlement: The combined handicaps of a team are added up and 1/8 of this is given as a handicap.
