Stay in the paradise of Khao Sok National Park and explore the world famous Phang Nga Bay. Dates: from 13 to 20 December 2018.
The absolute number one attraction in the south of Thailand is the world famous Phang Nga Bay. You will find the most beautiful rock formations you can imagine. And that on an open sea. With the longtail boat you tear for hours along immense rocks and with a kayak you can visit a number of impressive caves.
Khao Sok National Park is truly a paradise on earth. The park consists of one of the oldest rainforests on this planet, a crystal clear blue lake, unique flora and fauna, cave systems and huge green limestone cliffs. The giant Chiaw Lan Lake is located in the Park and is without a doubt one of the most beautiful places in Asia.
Route
For the drive south and back we mostly use smaller lanes in good condition with limited traffic. Here and there the highway nr 4 or 41 is used, but we limit that as much as possible. The itinerary is in loop form. Outward journey along the west coast and the return journey along the east coast. The area is quite mountainous so that we can regularly enjoy the nice curves and the rise and fall. Our bikers ride scooters (125-150cc).
Program
- Day 1. Hua Hin – Ban Saphan, about 201 km.
- Day 2. Ban Saphan – Ranong, about 245 km.
- Day 3. Ranong – Khao Sok, about 205 km.
- Day 4. Khao Sok – local activities: Half day boat trip on the giant Cheow Lan Lake. Half day jungle trekking or kayak tour on the river.
- Day 5. Khao Sok – local activities: – trip to Phan Nga Bay (total distance approx. 180 km) 3 to 4 hours longtail boat trip between the impressive Phan Nga Rocks. Transfer to platform in the sea to explore with kayaks under the craters and in the caves. Alternative: free day.
- Day 6. Khao Sok – Langsuan, about 203 km
- Day 7. Langsuan – Ban Saphan, ca 175 km Visits along the coastline of Chumphon coast – : raptor center, panoramas, royal temple, Bang Boet beach.
- Day 8. Ban Saphan – Hua Hin, about 201 km
Participation is free. Hotel costs, activities and meals at the expense of the participant. We take care of a group reservation and stay in neat budget hotels with air conditioning.
