The bridge of Sangkhlaburi – The gateway to Myanmar is a phenomenon. At 850 metres, it is the longest wooden bridge in Thailand (and the second longest in the world). That is already spectacular, but what makes a visit to this gateway to Myanmar so worthwhile is the experience, the experience of being in a part of Thailand that still determines the pace at which it lives.

The bridge connects Sangkhlaburi, where Thailand ends, with a village of the Mon, one of the traditional peoples in this part of the country. In addition to Mon, Karen, Laotians and Burmese also live here. A melting pot on the border of two countries.

You will visit this impressive town on a three-day tour that starts in Bangkok and first takes you to Kanchanaburi, known for the death railway, the Bridge over the River Kwai and the honorary cemeteries.

Then the journey continues to Sangkhlaburi and you will spend the night in a hotel whose swimming pool is high above the river and has a fantastic view. The tour will also take you to the Bikli River, where you will take a trip by longtail boat between high mountains, covered with a dense jungle. When the water is low, you will visit an old flooded temple. At high tide you can only see the roof. At the Ta Kian Thong waterfall starts a trip by raft on the river. We will also try to enter Myanmar to see the Three Pagodas and the market of Payathonsu.
