Ocean Marina in Pattaya, a retrospective

The big boat show of Ocean Marina is already behind us. The first thing you noticed when entering the site was the exhibition of heavy engines and the number of cadets who visited the Ocean Marina with two naval training ships. Engines with a price tag that you can almost buy a car for.

Two striking “gadgets” were on display. The first was a one-person canoe, which was powered by an electric motor. If it sailed at full speed, the fun would be over after 40 minutes. However, it was also possible to row with this canoe! Maybe first rowing and then back on the engine when tired? Whether this will really catch on in water sports, time will tell.

The second object was a surfboard. But instead of a sail, a small engine was stored in the plank. One could stand on the shelf and held a speed controller in hand via a cable. Both designs would not directly qualify for the beauty prize. Bookings for a half-day or longer tour could be made with several charter companies; given the price intended for a company or group outing.

Unfortunately, new innovative developments were not present, such as four years ago when an electrically powered two-person submarine was exhibited. Gone ingloriously.

The whole thing was still nice to visit, with the number of Japanese visitors in particular striking.

  1. French says up

And then the two campers that were there, one with a price of 6.9 ml, which was also an alcove that is 4 ml more expensive than in Belgium. What kind of fool falls for that????

And what do you do with such a thing in Thailand?

Accommodation in Thailand with air conditioning, shower and breakfast is relatively cheap
and you don't need such a car!
