In the remote border area between Thailand and Burma you will find descendants of the Muser.

These are originally migrants from China. The Muser people consist of 3 major ethnic groups, each with its own unique dialect.

Bangkok Post reported that nearly a million people live in the hills and forests of Thailand's border regions. They are still treated as illegal foreigners because they live in protected natural areas. Thailand sees these people as a threat to national security.

Hundreds of thousands of hill tribes are actually straight and stateless, although they consider themselves primarily Thai.
